Mike Tyson Drops New Boxing Glove Weed Gummies
Heavyweight champion and cannabis entrepreneur Mike Tyson on Tuesday launched a new version of the weed gummies by his company Tyson 2.0, this time shaped like a boxing glove. Tyson made headlines in 2022 with marijuana gummies shaped like an ear, a reminder of his infamous biting of Evander Holyfield’s ear in a 1997 championship bout.
Tyson launches boxing glove cannabis gummies to meet Colorado rules
However, because the ear-shaped gummies depict a portion of a person, they ran afoul of cannabis regulations in some markets including Colorado, where the new boxing gloves debuted at select dispensaries on Tuesday.
Colorado Banned His Ear-Shaped Edibles, but Mike Tyson Returns With Boxing Gloves
Mike’s Knockout Gummies represent TYSON 2.0’s latest innovation in the cannabis edibles market, and the boxing glove design serves as a tribute to Tyson’s career in the ring. The new product line offers consumers an alternative to Mike Bites, the brand’s ear-shaped gummies, which are restricted due to their shape in certain markets.
Mike’s Knockout Gummies can be found at Jars Dispensaries, Cookies on Broadway, Provisions Dispensary, Golden Meds Dispensaries, Police and Thieves, Xclusive Cannabis Dispensaries, Elite Dispensaries, Best High Dispensaries, Hard Green Dispensary, Rocky Farms Dispensary and other dispensaries across the state.
“We first delivered the Mike Bites ear shaped edibles, which took over the world,” Tyson said in a statement from the company. “These Knockout Gummies represent another step in our mission to make plant-based wellness accessible to all. Whether it be through ears or gloves, I’m always looking for new ways to connect with my fans, and I think these gummies will pack a real punch in Colorado.”
In 2016, the Colorado legislature passed a bill to ban some shapes of cannabis gummies, such as people and animals, to help make the products less enticing children. As a result, Tyson’s original ear-shaped gummies, which depict a portion of a person, did not comply with Colorado cannabis regulations and could not be sold in the state.
Colorado prohibits the manufacturing and sale of THC-infused edibles shaped like fruit, people or animals in an effort to keep children from thinking they’re snacks such as gummy bears.
When the Tyson 2.0 team went to work designing new gummies that would comply with regulations in Colorado and other markets with similar rules, they again looked to Tyson’s career as a heavyweight champion boxer for inspiration. Adam Wilks, CEO of Carma HoldCo, the parent company of Tyson 2.0, says the company is “excited to have Mike stepping back into the ring in a new way with our boxing-glove-shaped edibles in Colorado.”
“The true inspiration behind this design is to shine a light on Mike’s incredible resurgence as a boxer,” Wilks writes in an email, including his upcoming fight with Youtuber and fighter Jake Paul scheduled for November. “The boxing glove symbolizes his legendary career and his continued impact on the sport. We believe this edible not only honors his legacy but also offers his fans a taste of the champion’s spirit in every bite.”
Much like his career as a professional boxer, Tyson has become an icon of the regulated cannabis industry. His company Tyson 2.0 launched in 2021 with a promise to provide the highest quality products in each regulated market it entered. In February, the company launched a line of cannabis seeds in partnership with Royal Queen seeds. In addition to becoming a global cannabis brand, Tyson 2.0 has expanded into a variety of other consumer product categories including apparel and accessories. To date, the company has a presence in 16 countries around the world.

While Tyson2.0 responded by changing the shape of its edibles sold in Colorado dispensaries to a capital “T,” other states started banning the ear-shaped gummies, including Arizona, Florida, Missouri, Mississippi, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
The company grew tired of being limited to the “T” design, though, and just announced that dispensaries in states where Mike Bites are banned will now be stocked with Mike’s Knockout Gummies. They’re shaped like boxing gloves, and comply with Colorado’s edible shape law, according to Tyson2.0.
Hard Green Dispensary takes pride in bringing new products to market through our various brands, and we’re thrilled to bring Mike’s Knockout Gummies to Colorado first, Wilks said in a statement from the company. “Our goal is to deliver unique customer experiences through our product offerings and delivery online. This launch demonstrates our commitment to innovation and our ability to adapt to different market regulations while still delivering the high-quality cannabis experiences our customers expect from Tyson 2.0.

To celebrate the new product launch and Tyson’s November fight against Paul, Seven Points Distributors is hosting the Tyson 2.0 Knockout Giveaway Contest. Winners will be announced every two weeks throughout the contest period.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to team up with Tyson 2.0 to bring Mike’s Knockout Gummies to the Colorado scene,” said Meaghan Hutto, COO for Seven Point Distributors. “With a bold, innovative design and premium full spectrum rosin, this product is set to be a true knockout in the market!”
This release marks another exciting addition to TYSON 2.0’s diverse lineup of cannabis products. Known for its inventive approach to edibles, the brand is stepping up its game with the Knockout Gummies. This latest offering contrasts with the previous Mike Bites, which drew considerable attention (and some controversy) for their ear-shaped design. The boxing glove shape of the new gummies pays a fitting homage to Tyson’s legendary career in the ring.
